ChatGPT Ads + HubSpot Integration (July 2026)
HubSpot now supports ChatGPT Ads as a connected ad network. The integration started rolling out in beta the week of July 13, 2026, and it lets you build ChatGPT ad campaigns, view reporting, and track ROI inside HubSpot right next to Google, LinkedIn, and Meta. What is the HubSpot ChatGPT Ads integration?
It is a native ad network connection, the same pattern HubSpot uses for Google Ads and LinkedIn. You connect a ChatGPT Ads account under Settings, then Marketing, then Ads, using an API key from your OpenAI Ads dashboard. Once connected, ChatGPT campaigns show up in the same Manage and Analyze tabs as your other networks, with campaign, ad group, and ad level reporting. Two details matter most for demand gen teams:
- Auto tracking appends UTM parameters to your ChatGPT ad URLs, so you can see which contacts clicked, which deals followed, and your total ChatGPT ads ROI.
- Contacts who engage with your ads can be enrolled directly into workflows, so follow-up starts the moment someone clicks.

How is ChatGPT ad targeting different?
ChatGPT Ads does not target who people are. It targets what people are asking about right now. Instead of audiences and bids, you add "context hints", free form phrases describing the conversations you want your ad near, like "project management" or "team collaboration tools". Pricing is fixed CPM with a lifetime budget, so there is no bidding strategy to manage. Creative is deliberately simple: a title of 3 to 50 characters, body copy up to 100 characters, one image, and a destination URL.
If you have done any answer engine optimization, this should feel familiar. The organic side of AI search is about earning citations in answers. The paid side is now about buying placement near the same questions. The teams that win will run both against the same question list.
Why is this channel moving so fast?
OpenAI launched its US ads pilot on February 9, 2026 and reported crossing $100 million in annualized ad revenue within six weeks, with more than 600 active advertisers. A self serve platform followed in April 2026, which removed the enterprise-only minimums from the initial phase. OpenAI has told investors it is targeting $2.5 billion in ad revenue in 2026 and $100 billion by 2030. Ad channels do not usually scale like this, and early inventory is scarce relative to demand, which is exactly when CPMs and competition are still reasonable for smaller advertisers.
How do you connect ChatGPT Ads to HubSpot?
- In HubSpot, go to Settings > Marketing > Ads and click Connect account, then choose ChatGPT from the network modal.
- Paste your ChatGPT Ads API key (from the OpenAI Ads dashboard) and click Connect.
- Go to Marketing > Ads > Create ad campaign and select the ChatGPT ad type.
- Complete the three step flow: creative, context hints, then schedule and lifetime budget.
- Enable auto tracking so UTMs are appended and attribution flows into your contacts and deals.
