HubSpot Market Segments, announced in the July 20, 2026 product update wave, use AI to analyze your closed-won deals, define the markets where you actually win, and surface matching companies that are not yet in your CRM. The feature is in private beta, existing Target Markets convert automatically, and adding a net-new enriched company costs 10 credits, roughly 10 cents at HubSpot credit-pack pricing.
Here is what HubSpot has shared so far, what Market Segments cost in practice, and what to do before the beta reaches your portal.
Market Segments are a living, data-backed replacement for the ICP spreadsheet. Instead of defining your ideal market once a year in a slide deck, HubSpot analyzes the deals you have actually closed and identifies the markets where you win most, including teams that operate in more than one market.
Each saved segment comes with performance insights pulled from your own portal: win rate, deal velocity, and average deal size for companies in that market. A Companies tab shows which matching companies are already in your CRM, and which exist in the wild but not in your database yet.
That last part is the strategic move. Building a target-account list used to mean exporting filters from Apollo or ZoomInfo and importing them into your CRM. Market Segments moves that discovery step inside HubSpot itself, powered by the same enrichment data behind Breeze Intelligence.
There are two ways to create a segment. You can let AI discover markets by analyzing your closed deals for win patterns, then edit what it proposes. Or you can manually define the attributes that describe a market you operate in, such as industry, size, and region.
If you already use Target Markets, they convert to Market Segments automatically when the feature reaches your portal. Once created, segments connect across Breeze Assistant, Custom Agents, Buyer Intent, and Target Accounts. To use them in Email, Workflows, or Campaigns, you create a standard segment from the market definition.
One click adds the net-new matching companies to your CRM, enriched with firmographic data. That is where credits come in.
HubSpot has not announced a separate price or SKU for Market Segments, and during the private beta the feature itself costs nothing extra. The real cost is enrichment: adding a net-new company to your CRM from a Market Segment costs 10 credits per company.
HubSpot sells credit packs at 10 dollars per 1,000 credits, and every plan includes a monthly credit allowance (500 on Starter, 3,000 on Professional, 5,000 on Enterprise). You can see current plan pricing on our HubSpot pricing and discounts page. In practice:
| Action | Credits | Approx. cost |
|---|---|---|
| Add and enrich 1 net-new company | 10 | $0.10 |
| Fill a 500-company market | 5,000 | $50 |
| Fill a 2,000-company market | 20,000 | $200 |
Note that this draws from the same credit pool as your Breeze agents. If you are already running the Prospecting Agent at 100 credits per added lead, market enrichment is comparatively cheap, but it is one more line in the same budget. We broke down the agent side in our Prospecting Agent cost and access guide.

Market Segments look like the account-targeting layer HubSpot has been missing. Breeze agents currently work from personas and enrollment criteria you define by hand. A data-backed market definition that feeds Breeze Assistant, Custom Agents, and Buyer Intent means agents can prioritize accounts that look like your historical winners, not just accounts that match a filter someone wrote.
If you are new to the agent side of HubSpot, start with our plain-English explainer on what HubSpot Breeze actually is. And this launch fits the pattern we flagged when HubSpot acquired Warmly: signal-based GTM is consolidating into the platforms, one layer at a time.
Lists (now called segments) are membership rules you write yourself. Target Accounts is a manually curated set of accounts your sales team works. Market Segments sit above both: they define what a winnable market looks like from your deal history, then feed that definition into Target Accounts, Buyer Intent, and your segments. HubSpot says existing Target Markets convert automatically, so nothing you have built gets stranded.
AI market discovery is only as good as your closed-won data. If your deals are missing amounts, close reasons, or industry and company-size fields, the markets HubSpot discovers will be noise. Now is the time to fix deal hygiene, dedupe companies, and standardize firmographic properties, which is exactly what our RevOps cleanup sprint handles in about two weeks.
Beyond that: check whether you have Target Markets configured today, since they become your first Market Segments. And if you want a second opinion on whether your portal is ready for the AI features HubSpot is shipping this year, talk to an expert, it costs nothing.
Market Segments are an AI feature announced by HubSpot in July 2026 that analyzes your closed-won deals to define the markets where you win, shows win rate, deal velocity, and average deal size per market, and surfaces matching companies that are not yet in your CRM. It is currently in private beta.
The feature has no separate announced price during the private beta. Adding a net-new enriched company to your CRM from a Market Segment costs 10 credits, which is about 10 cents at HubSpot standard rate of 10 dollars per 1,000 credits.
Market Segments are in private beta as of July 2026. Ask your HubSpot customer success manager or a solutions partner to request access for your portal. If you already use Target Markets, they will convert to Market Segments automatically once the feature is enabled.
No. Market Segments define what a winnable market looks like based on your deal history, and they feed Target Accounts, Buyer Intent, Breeze Assistant, and Custom Agents. Your existing Target Accounts workflow stays, it just gets a data-backed source of accounts.
