Sequel Agents Are Live: A Hands-On Guide

Sequel made its AI agents generally available on November 2, 2026. Every Sequel customer now gets three named agents, Build, Scale and Convert, plus the option to create custom ones. If you run webinars and you are deciding this week whether these agents are worth turning on, here is what each one actually does, where the human approvals sit, and how they compare with building agents on your own stack.

What do Sequel's Build, Scale and Convert agents actually do?

The November 2 announcement splits the webinar lifecycle across three agents:

  • Build plans and preps programs. It recommends series, topics and timing from your past results, sets up events from a series template, and runs a readiness check on registration, emails, landing pages and CRM sync before you go live.
  • Scale turns each session into content: clips, a blog post draft, LinkedIn posts for your speakers, a newsletter blurb, and a recap published to the event page on your own domain, which helps the replay keep earning search and AI-answer visibility.
  • Convert works the audience afterward. It drafts personal follow-ups for attendees and no-shows, briefs account owners on what each person watched and asked, makes sure every registrant lands in the CRM, and produces monthly program reports.

The pitch behind all three is first-party context. Sequel ties website activity, meaning the pages someone reads and comes back to, to what that same person watches, asks and clicks during a live session, and the agents act on the combined picture. You can read Sequel's own framing on its product updates page.

How do the approval guardrails work?

This is the part most buyers should check first, and Sequel got it right. The agents read data and draft work on their own, but they cannot send an email, invite anyone, change an event, or push a lead to your CRM until someone on your team approves the action. That means you can turn an agent on to see what it drafts without risking a bad send to your audience. It also means the agents do not remove the operator. Someone still reviews every outbound touch, so budget for that review time in your program plan.

How do you get started with Sequel Agents?

As of November 2026, the agents are included for Sequel customers rather than sold as a separate SKU, and Sequel has not published standalone agent pricing, so confirm costs on your own plan before you commit a program to them. A sensible rollout order:

  1. Start with Build's readiness check on your next scheduled event. It is read-only in practice and will catch broken registration, email and CRM-sync issues you would otherwise find live.
  2. Let Convert draft follow-ups for one event and compare them against what your team sends today. Approve or rewrite, then decide how much to delegate.
  3. Bring in Scale once you trust the output, since repurposed clips and recaps carry your brand further than a private replay link.

Custom agents are the furthest along the adoption curve: you describe a job in plain language and the agent works from your events, transcripts and engagement data. Sequel also ships an MCP server, so its data and actions can plug into the AI assistants your team already uses. If you are weighing that kind of wiring more broadly, we covered the tradeoffs in custom MCP connectors: build or buy and we build them as a service at MCP connectors.

Should you use Sequel Agents or build your own webinar system?

If you already run on Sequel, turning the agents on is low risk because of the approval gate, and the readiness checks alone are worth it. If you are not a Sequel customer, be clear that this is a platform decision, not a feature decision: the agents only act on events that run through Sequel.

The alternative is agents on your own stack. We design and build webinar systems and a webinar builder agent that do the same jobs, planning, readiness checks, repurposing and follow-up, on your website and your CRM, after producing 350+ B2B and B2C webinars ourselves. That includes headless webinars that stream live from your own site with no webinar license at all. If you want numbers to sanity-check any vendor's promises, our B2B webinar benchmarks post has registration and attendance baselines.

Frequently asked questions

What are Sequel Agents?

Sequel Agents are three AI agents, Build, Scale and Convert, that plan webinar programs, repurpose session content, and turn engagement into CRM-ready follow-up. They became generally available to all Sequel customers on November 2, 2026.

How much do Sequel Agents cost?

Sequel has not published standalone pricing for the agents. The general availability announcement says they are available to all Sequel customers, so as of November 2026 the cost question is really the cost of a Sequel subscription. Confirm details with Sequel directly.

Do Sequel Agents send emails on their own?

No. The agents draft emails, invites, event changes and CRM pushes, but a member of your team must approve each of those actions before anything goes out.

Can Sequel Agents work with the AI tools my team already uses?

Yes. Sequel ships an MCP server that exposes its data and supported actions to outside AI assistants, and you can add your own brand, persona and messaging context.

Do I need a webinar platform to run AI agents on webinars?

No. The same jobs, planning, readiness checks, repurposing and follow-up, can be built on your own website and CRM, including headless webinars that stream from your own domain with no platform license.
