ZoomInfo Agent Teams: The DoubleO.ai Play
ZoomInfo acquired DoubleO.ai on September 30, 2026, then launched Agent Teams the next morning, an AI agent orchestration layer that runs multi-step go-to-market plays inside GTM Studio with no new SKU and no new contract. It is the third ZoomInfo agent announcement in a week, and the first one that existing customers can switch on without a sales conversation. Here is what shipped, what it actually does, and what to do about it.
What did ZoomInfo announce?
Two press releases, back to back. On September 30, ZoomInfo (NASDAQ: GTM) announced it had acquired DoubleO.ai, an agentic orchestration platform founded in 2024 by Derek Osgood and Karthik Suresh, the pair who previously built the product launch platform Ignition, later acquired by Klue. Deal terms were not disclosed. On October 1, ZoomInfo introduced Agent Teams, built on DoubleO's orchestration architecture and available immediately in GTM Studio.
The pitch is reliability. ZoomInfo's argument, and it matches what we see in client portals, is that most GTM AI agents die in the demo stage because they hallucinate on complex tasks or run the same play differently every time, so a human ends up babysitting every step. DoubleO's architecture uses specialized agents with defined roles that share context across steps and decide the next action from the current state of the record, which ZoomInfo calls real-time evaluation.
What does Agent Teams actually do?
The two launch examples are the clearest picture of the product. First, champion tracking: when a past champion becomes, say, CRO at a new company, the agents check whether that company is already a customer and fits your ICP, reconstruct the champion's role in the original deal, map the new buying committee, and draft outreach grounded in the relationship. If the champion hits your pricing page two weeks later, a website-visit trigger resumes the play with full context. Second, closed-won to pipeline: after a deal closes, agents review the full cycle including call transcripts and CRM records, draft a case study, find ten competitors of the new customer that are not yet customers, and reach out to each with tailored messaging.
All of it sits on ZoomInfo's data layer of more than 100 million companies and 500 million contacts, and plugs into the GTM.AI context layer that already feeds Salesforce Agentforce, HubSpot Breeze, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Claude, and ChatGPT.
How much does Agent Teams cost?
Here is the notable commercial detail: nothing new, for now. ZoomInfo states Agent Teams is available in GTM Studio with no new SKU or contract required. That is unusual for a feature built on a fresh acquisition, and it reads as a land move. ZoomInfo moved to consumption-style packaging earlier this year, so the economics will show up in usage, not in a line item. If you are already paying for GTM Studio, you can test this today at no incremental license cost. If you are negotiating a ZoomInfo contract right now, agent usage expectations belong in that conversation before you sign.

Why this matters for revenue teams
ZoomInfo shipped four agent-adjacent releases in ten days: Talent Autopilot on September 21, a Replit integration on September 24, a Superhuman Go connector on September 29, then DoubleO and Agent Teams. We covered the recruiting piece in our Talent Autopilot breakdown. The pattern is clear: ZoomInfo is racing to become the orchestration home for GTM agents, not just the data vendor underneath them, because data alone is getting commoditized while reliable execution is not.
The honest caveat: the only named customer in the launch is one sales operations leader, there are no published benchmarks, and the claim that this is reliable enough to run without supervision is exactly the claim every agent vendor makes. The DoubleO founders themselves say unsupervised agents typically deliver maybe a 20 percent improvement and that reliability is where the real gains hide. Treat the launch plays as the tested surface and anything custom as a pilot.
What should you do now?
If you run ZoomInfo with GTM Studio, turn on one play, not ten. Champion tracking is the easiest to verify because you can count the job changes it catches against a list you already know. If you are on Apollo, Cognism, or UpLead, nothing here forces a migration; those stacks win on cost and self-serve, and agent orchestration is coming to every vendor in the category. And if you want the agent-run prospecting motion without betting the stack on one vendor, that is literally the system we build: an AI SDR prospecting engine tuned on your data, with your reps in the seat.

Frequently asked questions
What is ZoomInfo Agent Teams?
Agent Teams is ZoomInfo's AI agent orchestration offering, launched October 1, 2026 and built on technology from its DoubleO.ai acquisition. It coordinates specialized AI agents that share context to run complete GTM plays, like tracking champions who change jobs or turning closed-won deals into lookalike pipeline, inside GTM Studio.
How much did ZoomInfo pay for DoubleO.ai?
ZoomInfo did not disclose the acquisition price or terms in its September 30, 2026 announcement. DoubleO.ai was founded in 2024 by Derek Osgood and Karthik Suresh, whose previous company Ignition was acquired by Klue.
Is Agent Teams a paid add-on?
No new SKU or contract is required. ZoomInfo states Agent Teams is available now in GTM Studio for existing customers. Usage-based consumption costs still apply under ZoomInfo's current packaging, so watch credit burn as you scale plays.
Does Agent Teams work with HubSpot or Salesforce?
Agent Teams lives inside ZoomInfo's platform, and ZoomInfo's GTM.AI context layer connects to Salesforce Agentforce, HubSpot Breeze, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Claude, and ChatGPT, so agent outputs can land where your team already works.
